Goals and Objectives

  • To promote and build capacity of other Civil Society organizations in order to understand their full democratic participation in Government Policy processes with a view of creating and/or raising awareness amongst the diverse strata of the society for sustainable development.
      
  • To create networks with other Non-Governmental organizations, Educational, legal and religious institutions so as to establish and strengthen an empirical and analytical capacity for engagement in policy processes at all stages and/or levels.

  • To propose and/or conduct research in various governmental and Non-Governmental institutions with a view of establishing documenting and/or monitoring the effect of policy processes to the public especially among the poor and/or vulnerable groups in the society and share them broadly.

  • To lobby and advocate for pro-poor policy formulation and implementation at Local and National levels for the good of the beneficiary communities.

  • To establish a systematic structures with the Forum so that information on policy and policy processes are made accessible and shared regularly among the Non-Government Organizations and the public.

  • To be the advisor to the general public on matters concerning the formation and management of new NGOs/CBOs in the District and the existing members on matters concerning development of the District in general.

  • To provide on request consultancy services especially on policy and policy processes to the Governmental and Non – Governmental institutions provided it is virtually within the objectives of the Forum and the independence of the Forum is safeguarded.

  • To organize and /or sponsor conferences, seminars, workshops, lobbying, meetings and initiate publication of news letters about Forum and Forum activities with a view of promoting the forum objectives.

  • To raise funds in order to support the projects of the KCS Forum but on such terms and conditions congruent to the principal aim of the Forum.
