Leadership of the KCS Forum
The KCS Forum seeks to achieve its mission and objectives through Focused and concerted strategic approach, where by regular and strategic efforts are underway to solicit some funds for office operation and project implementation from different sources in order to effectively and efficiently support the community’s effort towards fighting against poverty. However the following approaches will be our focus during the operation.
The first and main focus will be on policy issues but specifically focusing on Poverty reduction policies.
- It will range from full participation during formulation, community awareness and its implementation. This means raise the unheard voices; relate policy and practice, making policy process be opened and more transparent, democratic participatory and accountable.
- Analysis and monitoring of the policy implementation at the District level.
- Popularisation of the different policies at the community level.
- Analysing the impact of implementation of different policies to the vulnerable and disadvantaged people and across different social groups at the District level
The second focus will be on Equity (equal opportunity to participate in development process) and Democratisation (freedom of every person and social group to participate effectively in any development process) framework in which Governance and Accountability will be underpinning pillars through.
- Trucking of the Public money
This will range from the council, Ward and Village levels, under which the focus will be on capacitating community to undergo Public Expenditure trucking at those levels.
The aim is to asses acquisition, use and monitoring of money used for the activities of the Government on behalf of citizens and expenditure of money used for community projects/ developments from the Government. The ultimate goal is to enable citizens to be better informed and be empowered to achieve greater and more meaningful influence over the acquisition; management and use of public money so as to be able hold their leaders accountable for their money.
- Enhance active citizen voice.
Activities will be aimed at empowering citizens to have a real influence over how they are governed and how their resources are used. The aim here is to amplify the unheard voices by raising awareness on key issues in the area of governance and accountability, improving access to information for Kiteto citizens and those who represents their interests within and outside of Government. Also enable Organized and non-organized civil society to acquire different capacities in order to contribute more effectively to a social movement for positive change in the lives of all Tanzanians particularly those who are disadvantaged.
The third focus will be on networking with other CSO's, partner
Organisations, District Council and Community members. This will facilitate proper exchange of information and information flow in order to facilitate and trigger transparency and accountability to citizens and Government institutions. |
