Achievements
- Participatory Poverty Assessment was undertaken to 4 Dispensaries, 4 Primary schools and 4 community service provision centres/Villages.
- Training of Forum members on lobbying and advocacy skills was undertaken.
- KCS Forum members conducted participatory impact assessment in Villages and service provision centres.
- A feedback workshop to present the M&E findings to Councillors and Forum members was conducted.
- Training o the tools for measuring poverty was conducted from 19th Oct – 2nd November 2005 at MS TCDC whereby it was attended by Forum coordinator.
- Feedback workshop to present the M&E findings to the Councillors was conducted.
- Strengthening and collaboration among member CSO’s has been good. This was done through quarterly meetings, workshops, seminars and informal meetings.
- A forum has participated in various policy activities e.g NGO policy Forum meetings, Experience sharing with other TCDD members on poverty monitoring findings, District and Regional Networks meeting organized by TANGO, policy poverty week and many other events organized by our partner organizations.
- After completion of the above projects, the Forum decided to change its operation strategy by doing registration and internalize its operation and management. By that it operates its own activity, human resources and secured its office. Hence, has no longer lead organization. After that Forum started to operate itself effectively from January 2006.
